Watermark Supports Mission 22—A Veteran’s Charity Committed to Suicide Prevention and Mental Health
Triangle, VA. February 1, 2022. Watermark announced today that the company recently made a $15,000.00 donation to Mission 22, a non-profit organization committed to supporting U.S. veterans by offering mental health and suicide prevention services. Mission 22’s motto is: “When their tour is over, our mission begins.” This charitable organization is dedicated to healing and helping America’s veterans by offering a wide variety of treatments for post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, mental recovery, and many other issues veterans face today.
Cindy Stinson, Community Outreach Director of Mission 22, told Watermark: “We are so very grateful for the corporate, and personal donations we receive. We could not do what we do without this support. Without these donations we would not be able to offer the free programs for veterans and their families that we have built.”
As a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Watermark understands firsthand the sacrifices, costs, and difficulty associated with serving in the nation’s armed forces.
Watermark’s President, Kevin Hodges, a retired U.S. veteran himself, said, “It’s an honor for Watermark to support the men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day. Although we can never repay veterans for their sacrifices, we can help by showing them our gratitude and financially supporting excellent organizations such as Mission 22, which offer wellness programs, recovery and resiliency activities, suicide prevention services, and numerous sponsorships to help veterans reduce the impact of post-traumatic stress from military service.”
“It takes a community to heal a warrior,” agreed Founder of Mission 22 and President of the Board, Magnus Johnson.
Watermark is committed to strongly supporting several veteran’s charities, as well as the hiring of veterans. The company has hired and helped dozens of veterans find jobs with other companies through networking and direct referrals. Watermark’s President, Kevin Hodges, states he is open to speaking to veterans regarding questions about transitioning from military to civilian life and how best to find work.
“If you are a U.S. veteran and you have questions about transitioning to the civilian workplace, Watermark can be a great resource,” Mr. Hodges said. “Reach out to us, or to me personally, and we’ll be ready to help in any way we can.”
